Key Accounts Manager (SALES)

1. Manage and optimise the performance within the Business Units ensuring client satisfaction a. Monitor and control the daily activities of their Business Unit b. Ensure full adherence to the prescribed legislation regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures within the business unit. d. In cooperation with Operations ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s) for clients are in place e. Monitor performance in terms of SOPs and provide feedback to Operations and Client f. Cooperate with other departments and third parties to maximise client satisfaction g. Identify potential risk areas and implement mitigation strategies for the Business Unit 2. Retain and acquire business through exceptional service delivery and relationship building Perform strategic planning in support of the Key Account and Business Unit s initiatives goals and measures Visit clients and maintain regular communication with clients at predetermined intervals Monitor and report on performance levels for customers Continuously investigate additional value added products and processes specific for customer needs Maximise customer satisfaction through co-operation with other departments (entries invoicing etc) Facilitate discrepancies between the client and company and resolve these discrepancies where possible and where you have the authority Support process to resolve queries clients invoicing etc. 3. Manage financial and physical resources to ensure business unit profitability Manage expenses in accordance with budget Monitor and manage all controllable expenses like stationery paper printing telephones etc including cost control initiatives Ensure all resources are utilised optimally in section Manage the responsible use and care for operational equipment and tools Ensure profitability of accounts through timeous annual rate review and managing scope creep in the Business Unit 4. Manage Human Resource performance and development to optimise utilisation Participate in recruitment and selection processes Optimise individual employee performance through effective leadership coaching development and training motivating and supporting staff and creating opportunities for their future growth Formulate performance objectives and standards in cooperation with team members Create a climate for the team to support and encourage each other in support of team objectives Evaluate performance and provide continuous feedback on performance against team objectives - both to team and Client Services Manager Identify and implement performance improvement initiatives Apply disciplinary code within area of responsibility Manage change processes within your section Entrench values in the team Cooperate and encourage interaction with other functional departments (IT HR etc) 5. New Customer Enquiries: Act as first point of contact for new customers therefore responsible for capturing and actioning all new customer enquiries ensuring the necessary process (as attached) is followed. Customer Complaints: Receive all complaints from the Consultants. Capture the complaints in the complaint management system monitor progress and liaise with relevant persons and departments to ensure the complaint is effectively closed off within the appropriate timeframe. Ensure that all relevant parties are kept informed of progress with every customer complaint. Receive sample requests are capture in the order management system. Monitor and follow through with all sample requests to ensure that the samples are available on time as per the original agreed date. Log all samples received from customers or ACMs on the Sample Register and ensure the physical samples are sent through to the appropriate persons or departments for reference. Monitor the taskbar and follow up with the Consultant responsible. Assist Consultants with receiving and capturing customer forecasts to ensure all forecasts are captured. Assist Consultants with their filing. Responsible for sending out spec sheets for Consultants maintaining a log of all spec sheets issued. Responsible for capturing any overflow of sales orders. Responsible for ordering of all stationery. Must be located in KZN close to Pinetown.
