Production Supervisor My client in the Engineering Industry is seeking the expertise of a Production Supervisor to join their team. Salary is R30 000p/m medical and pension. Negotiable. Purpose of the function Organize and monitor manufacturing workflow through supervising motivating and training staff to meet customer delivery expectations according to TUB s capabilities and quality standards. Qualifications Matric Certificate in production supervision is advantageous Stock control certification Skills and Experience 2-5 Years experience in the electronic manufacturing industry 2 Years experience in a supervisory role Good supervisory skills Basic understanding of ERP software Basic understanding of MS Office SHEQ background is advantageous Basic understanding of labour relations policies and procedures Lean manufacturing skills Planning skills Organizing skills People (interpersonal) Communication skills Basic writing skills Problem solving and decision making skills Negotiating skills Listing skills Competencies and Behaviors Ability to display self-confidence Ability to behave in an approachable respectful and trustworthy manner Attention to detail Leading by example Ability to work under pressure Ability to handle conflict in a mature professional manner Ability to work without supervision Ability to meet deadlines Results driven Quality driven Solution driven Ability to work in a team environment Proactive communication Ability to accept responsibility and to be accountable for work output Flexible and adaptable to change Willing to learn Key Performance Area Key Performance Indicators % of Time People management a) Staff are motivated and perform according to TUB s performance standards b) Staff are on time for work C) Staff are accountable for tasks delegated to them d) 8 minute meeting are conducted on a daily basis and reported to production manager e) Staff are adequately trained and multi-skilled f) Labour issues are dealt with in accordance with company policies g) Staff performance is monitored on a daily weekly monthly and quarterly basis 40% Planning a) Production kits are delivered on time b) Efficient allocation of recourses (staff tools machinery) C) Work orders are created timeously and are ready for stores d) Inter-departmental deliveries are on time 20% Manufacturing a) Job operations are clocked in and out of Forward correctly b) Standard times allocated per operation is correct on Forward C) Speed measurements are monitored d) Customer delivery dates are adhered to e) Tools are safe guarded and accounted for f) Tools are in good working condition g) Machinery serviced and calibrated as per schedule h) Procedures are adhered to 30% Quality a) External and internal NCR s (self and team) are closed out within seven days of issue b) Manufactured products meets customer requirements C) Company quality standards are adhered to 5% Other a) Continuous improvement on processes implemented b) Internal and external customers are involved with identifying problems and solutions 5% NOTICE: Should you apply for a vacancy and your skills and experience DO NOT match the inherent REQUIREMENTS of the position YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DELETED.
