Bookkeeper Mozambique Operations

Salary: Market Related Location: Cape Town About the job: My client is a JSE Listed company with a presence in 37 countries worldwide. They operate in Freight Services, Training, Shipping and Financial Services. My client requires the services of an experienced and suitably qualified, Portuguese-speaking individual to join their Finance Department in Cape Town. The successful candidate must have a valid matric as well as a Bookkeeping / Financial diploma or certification. This position will report to the Financial Manager (East & West Africa). Duties Include: The full bookkeeping function for one or more operating companies, based internationally Liaising with personnel from international branches in Portuguese to achieve workable processes Coordinate and receive financial documentation from international branches for processing Processing, maintaining and reconciling records of creditor and debtor financial transactions in Accpac to trial balance Preparing monthly management accounts Preparation of general ledger reconciliations Maintenance of internal control and compilation of internal audit file Requirements: Bookkeeping / Financial diploma or certification Portuguese language ability NON-NEGOTIABLE Minimum of 2 years accounting experience up to Management Accounts (Accpac experience an advantage) Knowledge of the accounting regulations applied in Mozambique would be an advantage Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner, ensuring accuracy and neatness Able to meet deadlines Aptitude for figures and attention to detail Good communication skills Computer literacy required (MS Excel Intermediate level) Able to work independently Strong coordination skills What to include: Detailed cv (Please include month and year employed) Reason for leaving last employ Current salary Required salary Motivational letter Please indicate race for BEE purposes Email your detailed CV to: Email your cv to Please note only Candidates that meet the required minimum will be considered coupled with information requested above.
