Your tasks: - Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock - Bake roast broil and steam meats fish vegetables and other foods - Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently using methods such as tasting smelling or piercing them with utensils - Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens broilers grills and roasters - Wash peel cut and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption - Inspect and clean food preparationareas such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices Your skills: - Inspecting equipment structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects - Assessing the value importance or quality of things or people - Identifying the educational needs of others developing formal educational or training programs or classes and teaching or instructing others - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling of materials - Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws regulations or standards - Providing information to supervisors co-workers and subordinates by telephone in written form e-mail or in person
