Planning Manager Location: Kuruman Salary: Market Related Duties Develop and maintain a long-term (Life-of-Mine) plan for the mining right owned by the Company in consultation with Company management or assisted/advised by external consultants Ensure Company compliance to statutory requirements regarding Life-Of-Mine Plan (LOM). Monitor and report on compliance to the LOM and perform/participate in periodic LOM reviews specifically regarding mine design pit limits and the underground mining of the deeper part of the deposit. Monitor and report on compliance to the Mines and Works Plan as submitted in support to obtain the mining right. Develop short-term mine planning (typically 1 to 3 months) from the LOM. Establish procedures and practices to ensure reconciliation to the LOM and short-term plan. Provide ad-hoc reports applications and evaluations when required Compile Management Reports on a regular basis Manages the Planning Department inclusive of planning leading organizing and control. Senior Planner Location: Kuruman Northern Cape Salary: Market Related Leading empowerment organisation with intent of sustainable mining and socio-economic development is currently looking for a Planning Manager with Opencast planning and production experience ideally manganese or coal. Skills / Edu / Exp Degree or National Diploma in Mining Survey or Geology 8 years of relevant experience in an Opencast and mining environment of which 3 years should be at Supervisory / Management level 3 - 6 years short term mine planning and modelling experience Advanced MS Office and Planning software i.e. Microstation experience A Blasting certificate will be an added advantage Must be a self-driven person with a passion for detail accuracy and meticulous work outputs.
