ITIL Foundation certified preferred Must be a South African National Competencies Requires a working understanding of the operations of the firm Requires an excellent understanding of all firm applications to provide support. Perform technical troubleshooting on the desktop platform and on printers. Liaise directly with vendors to resolve hardware issues. Provide support to the document management system. Ensure checklists are completed as and when required. Record all updates on the helpdesk case tracking system. Report back to Service Desk Coordinator on calls that require the attention of the Infrastructure team. Be available on a rotational basis (including weekends) to provide after hours standby support. Be available to provide support at any time in a crisis situation. Identify trends on hardware platforms and discuss with Customer Services Manager. Provide PC preparation services including imaging user set-up and application installation and configuration. Perform PC rollouts Provide technical installation support for office moves. Compliance Ensure that only approved applications are installed on computers. Adhere to and ensure that ITIL standards are followed in line with internal policy requirements. Adhere to SLA timelines. Adherence to standard operating procedures Report any non-compliance to IT infrastructure policies and procedures to the Customer Services Manager Adherence to IT Service Support Guidelines Telecommunications and Cabling Handle all new installations. Assist Tier 2 Support Administrators and the Technical Operations team in ensuring that there is capacity for future expansion.
