Your tasks: - Splice wires with knives or cutting pliers and solder connections to fixtures and equipment - Remove seats carpeting and interiors of doors; add sound-absorbing material in empty spaces; and reinstall interior parts - Confer with customers to determine the nature of malfunctions - Install equipment and accessories such as stereos navigation equipment communication equipment and security systems - Run new speaker and electrical cables - Build fiberglass or wooden enclosures for sound components and fit them to automobile dimensions - Record results of diagnostic tests - Cutopenings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment using electric drills and routers - Estimate costs of repairs based on parts and labor charges Your skills: - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions operations and the environment will affect outcomes - Conductingtests and inspections of products services or processes to evaluate quality or performance - Writing computer programs for various purposes - Teaching others how to do something - Determining how money will be spent to get the work done and accounting for these expenditures
