Responsibilities: This purpose of this job be responsible for the production of events from concept and oversee through to completion. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all operational implementation and post event activities. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a team of Event Managers Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements Liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event Must be able to anticipate project needs Producing detailed proposals for events (eg.timelines venues suppliers legal obligations staffing) Prepare event contracts Prepare budgetary recommendations Source and manage tenders Supplier management Negotiate agreements with outside providers and sub-contractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service Identify and secure speakers or special guest Pre-event and on-site communication with delegates Ensuring insurance legal health and safety obligations are adhered to Approve planning (room layouts and the entertainment programme scheduling workshops and demonstations) Selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners Liaise with marketing and PR colleagues to promote the event Present post-event analysis recaps and participant feedback to event stakeholders and incorporate learning into future events Present and deliver service excellence in keeping with the organisations brand KNOWLEDGE Solid Microsoft Office Exposure EXPERIENCE 3-5 years in Event Management or related field essential 3 years solid management EDUCATION Matric essential Events Certificate/Diploma essential
