The role holder will be accountable for driving set targets and monitoring the use of correct Collections tactics Key Responsibilities Ensure that specified business objectives are met by driving the achievement of the teams contracted targets through relevant training monitoring and coaching Reduce and minimise losses through the effective implementation of collection strategies received from the Secured Collections Leadership Team Monitor the adherence to set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the inbound collections space Ensure effective and efficient collections functions within the area including the quality of promises to pay adherence to call scripts etc. through daily audits and weekly one on one sessions Improve the team performance on a month to month basis through on going coaching revisiting process strategies etc Actively manage Capacity and Productivity in the area through the effective management of absenteeism late coming and adherence to schedules which will impact the Business Unit performance and rand value collected Effectively manage and maintain the customer relationship in line with the business quality standards Endeavour to value understand and build confidence in our customers by assisting Collections Officers with escalated queries and complaints in a professional manner Understand the needs of our internal and external stakeholders as well as exceed the expectations of our service delivery to our customers Assist with all internal concerns and queries received from staff Team Leaders and Team Managers Effectively manage and maintain the customer relationship in line with the business quality standards Endeavour to value understand and build confidence in our customers by assisting Collections Officers with escalated queries and complaints in a professional manner Understand the needs of our internal and external stakeholders as well as exceed the expectations of our service delivery to our customers Assist with all internal concerns and queries received from staff Team Leaders and Team Managers Comply with relevent regulatory and statuatory banking requirements such as the Code of Banking Practice the National Credit Act (NCA) etc Ensure that the business unit will maintain an audit rating of sufficient assurance or better through the area s compliance to internal processes policies and procedures Ensure effective utilisation of all collections resources by continuously moniotoring the use of the dialler product manuals call scripts and communicating changes to poilicy and process timeously to all team members Ensure timeous and appropriate follow up on collection actions and capturing of comments by Collections Officers on the Out of Order Collections System (OCS) by conducting daily checks and clearing out mailboxes Access and manage the quality of collection actions by doing the needed checks as per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements Responsible for drawing analysing and providing feedback to the Team Manager on SOX and other daily business reports required within area i.e. Stats reporting Cross Regsiter Engage in cost management within teams by monitoring the overheads on an ongoing basis and pro-actively identifying cost saving opportunities Adhere to all required deadlines as specified by the Team Manager Conduct a regular review of process mapping within the area and request re mapping from the Business Optimisation and Implementation team as and when required Interprate and check Management Information (MI) received in the form of the dashboard dialler reports etc. related to the area and escalate any deviations to management Provide evidence/supporting documents to auditors or management assurance consultants during formal reviews Identify losses due to processing errors or internal fraud in the department. Escalate to the manager and provide all the required information to allow logging of the Risk and Loss events. Participate in the investigations On a weekly basis remind the team of their compliance requirements. If any team member does not understand their obligations highlight to the manager to arrange briefings by the Compliance Officer Draw the monthly SAP compliance training reports. Schedule new employees for compliance training within the prescribed timelines and do not allow employees to work until they have completed pre-requisite compliance training Explain the requirements for Business Continuity to team members nominate team members to participate in BCM Tests Develop a high performing team of Collections Officers by embedding formal performance development according to the Performance Development (PD) process and informal coaching Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed. Approve training requests for team members To appreciate and respect diversity and recognise the worth of all people Create work climate within team to maintain & improve existing Employee Opinion Survey results Apply and document appropriate consequence management where necessary in accordance with policy Establish and maintain succession plans for one level below Review and update the department s organisation structure on a monthly basis Approve leave requests for team members and create leave plans to ensure adequate coverage Monitor overtime and ensure that it is kept to a minimum When required initiate and drive disciplinary processes for team members calling on support from Human Resources Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance Accelerator programme Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised Ensure that all team members have the relevant training and tools to be effective in their roles including relevant system access Participate in regular documented meetings (at least twice a month) with team members to share information and best practices Ensure that documented one on ones are conducted with each team member on a monthly basis to monitor and promote performance Competencies Planning & Organizing Relating & Networking Persuading & Influencing Presenting & Communicating information Learning & Researching Achieving personal work goals and objectives Delivering results and meeting customer expectations General The appointment will be made in line with the Divisional Employment Equity strategy

Job Purpose Provide customer service through timeous and accurate processing of client financial transactions to walk-in customers in Bank branches. Contribute to bottom line growth through identification of sales opportunities. Key Responsibilities Balance control and manage the cash float by checking the amount of cash at the teller station and requesting the restocking or repatriation of cash Dispense and receive physical cash cheques travellers cheques drafts and other financial instruments over the counter to walk in customers Process and encash cheques presented by customers for deposit or payout after checking identification account details and other prescribed controls Refer transactions in excess of teller mandate limits to next level team leader or branch manager for authorisation Capture transactions on the Bank system and ensure that all transactions are properly authorised before finalising the processing Count cash received or dispensed to ensure that errors are avoided Reconcile own cash at the beginning and end of each day as well as when cash is restocked during the day Ensure that journals are processed to recover charges for manual transactions processed for customers Provide advice to customers on the cash and other transaction processes to ensure the smooth flow of transactions Exhaust attempts to resolve customer enquiries before escalating to other departments or the team leader Explain the Banks procedures security requirements as well as service offerings available to customers Report customer complaints on the Banks Customer Care process (CCP) to facilitate feedback to improve service to customers Guide customers on how to correctly complete transaction documentation Ensure accuracy and efficiency when engaging with the customer Portray a professional image and ensure that personal appearance conforms Maintain a neat and tidy workstation at times Identify sales leads and cross selling opportunities Explain the campaign details during sales campaigns in brief and direct the clients to Sales Consultants Use of sales tools (e.g. teller prompts) in order to ensure the provision of leads to contribute to Branch sales Verify that information is accurate and complete in accordance with the Banks procedure Scrutinise and apply warning circulars memos stop payments and credit card lists Adhere to prescribed control measures to prevent fraud losses and shortages Report suspicious transactions as per Money Laundering control frameworks Maintain applicable registers Adhere to safety and security procedures and follow prescribed instructions in event of robbery Follow off-line procedures and comply with Code of Banking practice Manage security items i.e. Cash Teller stamps Safe keys combinations and FBSS cards in line with policies and procedures Competencies Working with people Applying expertise and technology Planning and organising Delivering results and meeting customer expectations Following instructions and procedures Coping with pressure and setbacks General The appointment will be made in line with the Divisional Employment Equity strategy
