Job Purpose To resolve enquiries from walk-in customers in a Retail Banking branch issue account items and provide superior customer service to all customers Key Responsibilities Determine customer needs through interaction with client Attempt to resolve customer enquiries at the first point of contact Update demographics such as address changes name changes Update standing order instructions based on information supplied by customers Utilise the pin pad system at the counter to assist customers in pin related queries Adhere to banks policies and procedures when processing client requests Coordinate calling file according to the laid down policy and procedure Coordinate card stock according to laid down procedures and manage the cheque book library Educate customers on the Banks procedures security requirements Explain the campaign details to customers in brief and direct them to the Sales Consultant for further action Identify sales leads and cross selling opportunities by talking to customers to understand their needs and requirements Verify the customers identity according to procedures prior to proceeding with inquiry or transaction Identify potential fraudulent transactions and report to management Adhere to legislation and regulatory requirements as applicable of CASA FICA National Credit Act (NCA) Identity documentation refer issue to supervisor or line manager to take decision on whether to proceed with the customers request Reconcile physical stock including but not limit to ATM Card cheque books credit card in line with the Bank s operating procedures

PURPOSE OF THE JOB To manage complex business planning and performance gap closing initiatives in the Transactional portfolio working in an integrated cross-functional approach. To promote and drive Transactional Product Performance against targets via distribution channels. RESPONSIBILITIES KVD tracking and actions: Understand the Key Value Drivers (KVD s) in the Transactional area by working closely with Finance and translate these into actions and measures to drive sales and revenue Provide relevant Business Intelligence to executive management for informed decision-making Conceptualise product enhancements / new product ideas through KVD s and analysis of MI Utilise KVD s MI Performance reviews to inform actions and projects to grow sales and revenue as part of the Value Management Forum Work closely with product managers to provide input into back-book management and retention based KVD s Business Planning: Oversee the co-ordination control and management of processes around the short-term (STP) and medium term plans (MTP) as well as in-year forecasts; subsequent translation into action plans and Sales & Service targets across channels Review and evaluate Product Performance Reports of Transactional Sales and Revenue in accordance with STP and MTP Ensure financial plans are aligned to strategic objectives and focuses Oversee and coordinate STP gap closing initiatives across main categories i.e. revenue leakage ECM upgrades/migrations operational fixes etc. Strategic support and Integration Review competitive reports and external market information Provide ad-hoc strategic support to management Engage with critical business stakeholders and determine their information requirements how often they require it and the relevance of the required information to the strategic tactical and operational decisions of the business Sales Coordination: Provide a Sales co-ordination capability with relevant sales channels Manage relationships with key stakeholders Review SBU requests for ad-hoc and productionalised reports. Coordinate delivery of the MI with consideration of existing capacity in response to the scheduled report to be delivered for business stakeholders. Manage sales at input level i.e. leads calls placed customers contacted accounts created accounts opened (i.e. minimum deposit paid into account) account activated through incoming credit usage of account etc. to be discussed and actioned in Retail Banking sales war room.
