Minimum Requirements Registered nuse - Midwife Registered with SANC Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in maternity ward. Flexibility in terms of working hours Good communication and interpersonal skills Good decision making skills Ability to work under pressure Must be able to work as part of a team Be prepared to rotate to other departments Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Provide quality nursing care Identify problems and determine appropriate action Actively participate in sustaining effective doctor staff and patient relationships Actively participate as a team member to assist in the completion of tasks Monitor the mother and child - before during and after labour Educate parents on Prenatal care child birth newborn care breast feeding etc. Perform episiotomies suture lacerations and administer medications before during and after delivery.
