The position provides direction through the development and evaluation of annual operational plans and consultation in the formulation of relevant policies and strategies which support activities stated in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Agreement. The position requires an appreciation of how medical services integrate with other hospital services and management in a changing environment. The Location Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health s core values as outlined above. Participate in the development and implementation of organisational processes that improve health care services development and implementation of safety systems engagement in improvement initiatives and related training. Assist the Medical Superintendent in the care of all patients of the nominated Hospital on a 24 hour basis. Essential Criteria Mandatory Medical qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties. They use Medtech and have an excellent team and an attached hospital. They require an experienced GP locum for 8-10 sessions per week from 8 July to the end of August. This includes one night per week on-call in the hospital. The on-call is on site in the hospital from 5.30-8.30pm and then phone on-call for the rest of the night. There is the possibility of having the following morning off to compensate for the on-call.
