Khomeliwa Consulting Trauma Qualified Registered Nurses x 4 (Pretoria East) R240k - R300k p/a gross Our client is a JSE listed group of private hospitals. The above position exists at one of its hospitals in Pretoria East. Reporting to the Unit Manager the successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager Ensuring that unit is run according to acceptable legal standards. Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards. Maintaining sound relationships and communication with patients relatives and the multi-disciplinary team. Building professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction. Maintaining all Health Safety and Infection Control Standards. Assist the Unit Manager to manage the unit s budget incl. control and maintenance of equipment pharmacy stock under / over recovery stock holding gross profit margins and debtors days. Assist with the effective management of the Ward Management System and CBT. REQUIREMENTS Must be a Trauma Qualified Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years experience and be registered with SANC. Competencies required: Strong customer orientation team player very energetic well organized. Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment. Strong inter-personal skills required Must be willing to fulfil a role in the ward according to the flexi-hours system. Previous experience working within a Trauma Unit a prerequisite. Reporting to the Unit Manager the successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Conduct basic duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with SANC regulations relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures. Stock control and equipment maintenance (including pharmacy stock). Infection control. Maintenance and promotion of safety. Cost effective management of labour hours according to the flexible hours system. In service training and education. Effective record keeping. Continued education of patients. Liaison with patients doctors and other medical personnel. Maintenance of medical equipment REQUIREMENTS Must be a Registered Nurse registered with SANC An ICU formal qualification or ICU experience. Competencies required: team player very energetic well organized. Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment. Strong inter-personal skills required. Must be willing to work according to the flexi-hours system - night shift.
