Khomeliwa Consulting Operations Manager: Monitoring and Evaluation Pretoria R360k p/a tctc Our client is a Non-Profit organisation in the health sector with its head office in Pretoria East and they seek the services of an Operations Manager: Monitoring and Evaluation. The incumbent will report to the HOD: Technical Assistance & Strategic Information. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and oversee FPD s routine monitoring and evaluation ( M&E) and health information systems (HIS) activities in FPD s nine partnered health districts; Ensure compliance with reporting and data quality requirements for both NDoH and USG; Inform and ensure effective and coordinated implementation of FPD s Information systems strengthening strategy and related components in district work plans; Ensure effective utilisation of DOH/FPD M&E program evaluation and research resources to measure document results and inform FPD s TA and health systems strengthening; Build and maintain strategic partnerships with SAG at National and Provincial level; Ensure the availability and quality of information for evidence based decision making by FPD and district management teams in support of the District Health Systems management; Inform/support and undertake program baselines and summative and/or formative evaluations; Build human capacity in M&E and HIS and data use through training and mentorship; Project manage development of Information related training products and toolkits. EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE BSc in mathematics and /or statistics; Management qualification; Masters in Public Health and/or related discipline desirable extensive experience in health informatics. MINIMUM WORKING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 5 years working experience within the public private and/or civil society health systems within South Africa; Experience managing donor funding and substantive experience with implementing health systems strengthening activities. Ability to meet deadlines with commitment to quality and sustainability Track record of implementing innovative and solution - orientated projects Strong financial and human resource management skills. The above position exists at one of its hospitals in Pretoria East. Reporting to the Unit Manager the successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager Ensuring that unit is run according to acceptable legal standards. Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards. Maintaining sound relationships and communication with patients relatives and the multi-disciplinary team. Building professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction. Maintaining all Health Safety and Infection Control Standards. Assist the Unit Manager to manage the unit s budget incl. control and maintenance of equipment pharmacy stock under / over recovery stock holding gross profit margins and debtors days. Assist with the effective management of the Ward Management System and CBT. REQUIREMENTS Must be a Trauma Qualified Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years experience and be registered with SANC. Competencies required: Strong customer orientation team player very energetic well organized. Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment. Strong inter-personal skills required Must be willing to fulfil a role in the ward according to the flexi-hours system. Previous experience working within a Trauma Unit a prerequisite. Stock control and equipment maintenance (including pharmacy stock). Infection control. Maintenance and promotion of safety. Cost effective management of labour hours according to the flexible hours system. In service training and education. Effective record keeping. Continued education of patients. Liaison with patients doctors and other medical personnel. Maintenance of medical equipment REQUIREMENTS Must be a Registered Nurse registered with SANC An ICU formal qualification or ICU experience. Competencies required: team player very energetic well organized. Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment. Strong inter-personal skills required. Must be willing to work according to the flexi-hours system - night shift.
