Account Executive

A great opportunity exists for an Account Executive based in Durban within a large organization Qualifications Related degree or recognized professional qualification (Degree or NQF Level 6 Qualification) Related degree/NQF 5 Qualification Experience/Criteria 5-10 Years related financial services experience - preferably sales 5-8 years relationship management experience in financial services Competency with credit processes Main job function Create portfolio specific strategies / actions that will generate revenue growth ensuring that individual targets are met Service and manage product distribution and cross sell within each client to maximize profits and ROE Acquire profitable new business Identifying client needs and delivering customized solutions for a portfolio of commercial clients Initiate and ensure draw down (where applicable) - credit applications Create portfolio specific strategies / actions that will generate liability growth ensuring that individual targets are met Create portfolio / client strategies and actions that will lead to superior levels of client satisfaction Ensure that key relationships within the portfolio are serviced by a regular and quality calling programme. Call reports to be recorded on Siebel. Develop relationships with a wide range of product specialists within the Company Develop in-depth knowledge of client s activities Identify client needs and deliver customized solutions to a portfolio of clients % improvement in average cross selling per portfolio measured against product MATRIX in order to improve profit contributions to the bank and raise barriers to exit Identify and establish internal and external value chains and processes to meet and exceed client service expectations Ensure appropriate client service measures and service level agreements are in place. Ensure customers are retained Manage projects according to project management guidelines (Expert level). Apply effective consulting and coaching skills (Expert level) Allocate and manage tasks activities and resources appropriately. Some initiatives would include:- KYC Expired Limits Ensure Effective Data Management Ensure % expired limits are attended to against set target Ensure all securities are dealt with The higher of the value or number of facilities expired should be within 10% Ensure outstanding collateral is collected Manage client limits Collect management fees Expected value of stalled deals divided by the total expected value (revenue) of active and stalled deals. Stalled deals defined as more than 30days in step. Need to agree to minimum number of deals in the pipeline Plan and implement credit reviews for portfolio Explain & structure credit loan facility options parameters and qualifying criteria Support customers in the completion of credit application information requirements e.g. balance sheets financial statements and management accounts Motivate and process non-scored credit applications Notify customers regarding the approval/decline of credit loan facilities Explore alternative solutions in the event of declines from Credit Monitor daily referrals to ensure that client facilities are managed within parameters set by Credit. General Manager -Food Production Eastern Cape Our Client is one of the biggest growers packers and exporters of citrus fruit in Southern Africa. They are looking for a new General Manager and the position is based about 60 km from Port Elizabeth. Reporting to the Chairman and Board the General Manager will assume full responsibility for the long-term viability and profitability of the company. This entails responsibility for all aspects of the business including the following: Management of the company in line with the strategy of the Business development. Stakeholder management Overseeing the day-to-day management of the company More specifically the following are key performance areas: Strategic Leadership Responsible for growth in terms of market share turnover and profitability. Business Management Full management responsibility - Ensure implementation of world-class production management principles (particularly in the areas of inventory management; process optimisation; quality management; production planning; risk management; safety management etc). Ensure effective maintenance management across the business i.e. development and implementation of appropriate systems/programs/plans. Overall responsibility to initiate and execute CAPEX projects. Develop and maintain service levels across all operational functions (manufacturing/ production; warehousing; distribution). This also includes responsibility for the management of the SLA s that govern the technical and export functions Setting and ensuring management controls and appropriate governance practices inclusive of operational planning budgeting and overall financial management of the entire business. Establish efficiencies and ensure appropriate cost control. Stakeholder Relationship Building - Building relationships with producers buyers and other stakeholders. This area includes liaison and interaction with the Board/shareholders industry bodies Government departments/agencies customers suppliers neighbours the community and employees. Team Leadership Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a seasoned businessman/woman with the undisputed leadership ability and vision to determine the organisation s future. The following requirements are key selection criteria: Credible senior level functional but preferably also general management experience gained in the agri-business/FMCG/food/ beverage manufacturing environment with experience in functional areas such as Manufacturing Production Finance and Business Development. Relevant academic qualifications preferably at post-graduate level (i.e. BAgric; BScEngineering; BCom/CA; MBA). Knowledge and experience of the broader agricultural industry but preferably of the SA fresh produce industry. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams leaving a legacy of growth (of businesses management units teams individuals). Strong conceptual skills with the distinct ability to manage effectively within a manufacturing environment. Excellent commercial orientation and business acumen. Over and above the technical requirements the following leadership and behavioural requirements are prerequisites: Outstanding leadership skills (inclusive of the ability to gain credibility and exert influence across various levels). Capacity to mobilise from the top to the bottom. Ability to influence guide direct and to negotiate (internally and externally). Ability to effect positive change. Energetic approach.
