Product Specialist - Vulco Minimum Qualifications: N5/N6 Mechanical (experience in capital equipment sales) Process Engineering and Metallurgist background Minimum Experience: 3 years experience in selling high value products in a mineral processing industry 3 years experience in grinding circuit operating procedures 1 year experience and understanding of the design of mill lining systems and their place in mineral 1 year experience in providing quotations and completing tenders for high value mining products Extensive knowledge of the RSA and African mining market Practical experience in rubber plant manufacturing environment to be able to quote on the Vulco WWRT manufacturing capabilities processing Ability to understand and make quality decisions on mill drawings and design WRT and their various applications Experience in the installation and monitoring of mill lining systems and other Vulco products Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel and in-house programmes e.g. MLEDS Milltraj Desired Experience: 3-5 Years sales and marketing experience in mill lining system Good knowledge in process plants Read mechanical drawings and work independently Knowledge in mill lining design Key Tasks:- Conduct sales calls and give presentations to customers as required Travel extensively in RSA to maintain and expand the customer base Work with Quote / Application Engineer to assess RFQ s product design and all technical aspects of the quotations and tenders Work with drafts people to develop accurate GA and components drawings Work with Product Manager and Administration Officer to ensure correctness of customers orders Liaise with customers as required to facilitate on time provision of quotations technical data drawings and relevant information Provide quotations and tenders to Vulco customers as required Provide weekly and monthly updates and reports on input sales and delivery performance Work with relevant Manufacturing personnel to improve the product quality productivity and performance of the rubber plant Minimum Skills / Abilities: Technical sales skills / Experience in process plants in mining industry / Customer liaison / Market Knowledge / Basic contract law / Product knowledge / Sales experience into Africa / Computer literate /Able to do quotations without assistance / Presentation skills and training skill / Be able to manage projects

This position is in the Rustenburg/ Marikana area. The position is production and management orientated and calls for knowledge of drilling blasting loading and hauling. Key Responsibilities Establish motivate and maintain a competent and productive complement of site personnel as per the site organogram. Establish a viable method of mining and implement activities and areas of improvement. Procure materials labour Operators and plant and control sub-contractors. Have a thorough knowledge of earthmoving machines and their production outputs and safe working operations. Implement effective cost control and maintain a sound working relationship with the client. Qualifications Skills and Experience Degree or a National Diploma in Mining or Civil Engineering 5 to 10 years experience in opencast (open pit) mining activities At least 2 years experience in managing all the activities of an opencast (open pit) mine. Candidates without a degree or a diploma will also be considered provided they have ample experience in managing all the activities of an open pit mine. Specific experience on Platinum (hard rock) open pit mines will be an added advantage.
