The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Primary Healthcare Services to the employees with a greater function on medicine supply management. These responsibilities include consultation with and treatment of employees as required and under direction of the Occupational Medical Practitioner at the Clinic as well as evaluation monitoring consultation with and treatment of patients with chronic diseases which will include ensuring that all patients have a valid prescription and issuing them with their medication. With regard to medicine supply management the incumbent will manage stock control in accordance with relevant legislation and in particular the Medicines and Related Substance Control Act of 1965. The position requires a person with effective professional and interpersonal skills who is adaptable and has the ability to work well under pressure. The incumbent should be able to think ahead plan and organise his/her workload. The ideal candidate should be registered with the Nursing Council of South Africa as a Professional Nurse and have 5 years experience in Primary Healthcare. A degree/diploma in General Nursing Midwifery and Community Health Nursing and degree/diploma in Primary Healthcare Nursing are requirements. The successful candidate must also be in possession of a Certificate of Competence in Dispensing for Healthcare Professionals and a Certificate/degree in Drug Supply Management.
