Calibre Clinical Consultants The core business of Calibre Clinical Consultants (CCC) is to provide HIV/AIDS disease management, education, awareness and preventative programs to the approximate 1,000,000 individuals who currently have access to Calibre's services. To deliver the various components of our services, CCC has a close working relationship with more than 300 GP practices throughout South Africa. CCC has developed the capabilities to coordinate cost effective medication procurement, delivery, compliance and laboratory monitoring on a national scale. Solutions will be designed and implemented by CCC to suit client-specific circumstances. Effective education informs an individual on how to avoid becoming HIV positive. In the event of exposure, Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) treatment has been shown to be up to 98% effective in preventing an individual from becoming HIV positive. Disease management has now reached a stage where both the individual and the community benefit by allowing the individual to remain a productive member of society and drastically reducing the risk of the individual transmitting HIV to other persons. CCC contributes to this by currently having over 5,000 people on its disease management programs, making CCC the second largest provider in this industry.
