Responsibilities Filter research and select new South African hedge funds to use in fund portfolios. Analyse suitable or potential short-listed funds. Communicate Managers for relevant information and/or data. Setup prepare for and attending/lead due diligence meetings with Fund Managers which includes the completion of investment due diligence prep documents. Complete the final investment due diligence document and present the fund to the CAM Fund Manager for approval. Assist the operations team at to open accounts with new houses by providing them with the necessary information on the fund. Monitor existing SA hedge funds and portfolios. Provide communication of the fund details to CAM team members and/or other colleagues through presentations which include contributions to formal client communication documents. Field requests questions and queries from clients (Portfolio Managers Planners Assistants or clients) regarding the hedge funds and private equity funds. Maintain and expand the SA hedge fund matrix. Relevant experience in financial markets asset management and hedge fund of funds research would be beneficial.
