My client in the Banking Industry in the North West area is looking for a Private Banker who will be able to manage the relationship of their High Income base of clients by being a trusted advisor and implementing solutions with the expertise of specialist Duties Client Optimisation: Analise Clients current banking structured and propose restructure to include multiple product solutions to ensure that the Bank gain clients full share of wallet. Building client Relationships: through proactive client contract re-establish and cement client relationships with strong focus on client retention. Cross Sell Efficiency: Identify complex client requirements with the view to referring clients for specialist intervention namely: Wealth Fiduciary Lending and Portfolio. Structuring Proposals: Compilation of proposal for presentation at the credit committee. Campaign Management: Implementation management and reporting on client campaigns Closing of Deal: Preparation of the necessary paper work and signing final documentation with client. Holistic Bank Product management: Ensure broad based understanding of Private Bank product and competitor product offering. Forex: Presenting Forex offering to clients. Experience Experience within the financial services industry or more specifically the private banking arena a definite advantage. Ideally 1-3 years of relevant experience. B Com (Financial stream) compulsory RPE / CAIB (would be an advantage) At least 6 months product experience of deposits less than 12 months Financial degree with at least 2nd year financial subjects
20% Manage and deepen Bank s relationships with clients 20% Proactively identify clients needs or react to expressed needs; Develop appropriate solutions to identified financial needs; Orchestrate appropriate specialist interaction with clients (e.g. complex products and processes or where legal requirements necessitates); Prepare and deliver written or verbal proposals; Negotiate and conclude the deals and collect relevant documentation; Handover for implementation to Services Manager 20% Client Profitability Maximised 5% Credit Risk Management Jointly with Credit Manager 20% Leverage internal and external networks Identify and obtain leads for new client Develop a strategy to approach new client Initiate and conduct client interview and needs assessment Secure business with client to provide relationship opportunity 15% Sales Related Administrative Tasks Min NQF 5 Re Exam a Must 3-4 Years Business Banking Exp
40% Verify and check information received from Credit Analyst Identify additional information required Develop a bankable solution for the client s needs Ensure compliance to credit policy Conduct client visits (where necessary) to develop deeper understanding of business Finalise and sign-off application Make credit recommendations Document decision Attend relevant committee meetings Release limit once security documents are in order 50% Review daily excess reports Identify early warning signals in client behaviour industry or markets that are indicative of change in risk profile Ensure appropriate action are taken on early warning signals to mitigate risks Refer/handover client to credit risk Manage MIS exceptions (e.g. annual or interim reviews AFS MAS Excon and debtor list Manage covenants (financial and non-financial) 10% Interview and select Credit Analyst Train and develop Credit Analyst Review and manage performance of Credit Analyst Develop a career path for Credit Analyst 4-5 Years relevant credit experience in banking (Green Credit Manager) B degree (appropriate)
